Can memory treatment help me recover my memory to what it was before?
Unfortunately, it cannot bring your memory back, but it can assist you in improving your mental efficiency. Most memory treatments will:
• Educate the patient on how memory works and how epilepsy plays a role in it.
• Help the patient develop and to use compensatory memory techniques as a routine.
• Help the patient understand her/his mental strengths and weaknesses so she/he can learn to rely more on the strength.
• Improve attention, planning, organization, and time management skills.
